Final Schedule of Diplomate Part 2 Examination
ANNOUNCEMENT
In view of the unabated rise in COVID-19 cases despite the modified ECQ, it has been decided by PBOG upon the recommendation of the BOT, that the DIPLOMATE WRITTEN and ORAL EXAMS will ONLY be given ONLINE.
Final Schedule of Diplomate Part 2 Examination
• The schedule of the oral exam of the qualified examinees is final.
• Please take note of the Guidelines and Rules for the Online Conduct of the Oral Exam:
1. Things needed for the exam:
a. Reliable internet provider with recommended bandwidth of 6 Mbps is a must.
b. Supported devices, i.e. smart phone, tablet, laptop or personal computer, will be used. A second gadget, preferably a smart phone with data, is needed to be used as a proctoring device and as a backup in case of disconnection.
c. A half body mirror to be placed behind the examinee showing his/her main device and the surroundings is required.
2. Before the exam:
a. There will be a dry run conducted with the POGS Secretariat to confirm a stable internet connection and to familiarize the examinee with the set-up. The dry runs can be done 2-3 times as deemed necessary.
b. A Conforme and Code of Honor will be sent by e-mail. If the examinee wishes to pursue taking the oral exam via the online scheme, he or she should sign both forms and have them notarized. These documents should be scanned and emailed back.
c. Please prepare a government issued ID to be shown upon registration.
3. During the exam:
a. Please be on time. Examinees who will be late will no longer be admitted.
b. Please dress appropriately. Have on hand only the needed devices and nothing more.
c. No virtual background is allowed.
d. The examinee will be sworn in reciting the Code of Honor which he/she initially signed.
e. An examinee will only be allowed to be disconnected twice. Reconnection should be done within 2 minutes. The second gadget can be used in the event of a disconnection. If the allowed times of disconnection and the time elapsed for reconnection is exceeded, the examinee will no longer be allowed to continue with the exam. It will be decided by the Board how he/she will re-apply for the Oral Exams next year.
f. In the event that it is the Examiner who will be disconnected, the other examiner will wait for re-connection before proceeding with the exam. An available examiner handling the breakout rooms may serve as the second examiner to complete the exam. If both examiners get disconnected, contingencies will be done to address the matter.
g. For cases needing deliberation, the en banc decision of the Board will be final.
• Should an approved examinee decide to defer taking the oral exam, he or she should write the PBOG stating a valid reason for the deferral. The letter shall be deliberated on en banc.
• Please pay the Examination Fee of P6,000 and kindly settle unpaid annual dues through bank deposit or online fund transfer with reference number.**
