(13-14 June 2018, Centuria Medical Makati, Makati City, Philippines)

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Quality is defined in many ways as it is seen in the perspective of the users of goods and services. Healthcare quality is not similar to any other service industry and can be complex as each person is unique and therefore, some clinical protocols may not work similarly on every patient with same ailment, and so are the outcomes. Moreover, a quality culture needs to be cultivated across the care continuum i.e healthcare professional, healthcare organisation, and healthcare system.

Health care leaders and quality staff play a critical role in selecting key performance measures; ensuring that the measurement process is using proven methods; collect reliable data; and ensure that the data are properly analyzed and used for decision-making and improvement.

Clinical outcomes need to be measured through indicators based on pre-defined parameters and methodology. How does improving quality lead to better clinical outcomes? This workshop aims to highlight the concepts of quality, culture of quality, some of the tools for improving quality, defining quality and clinical indicators and dashboard.
