I wish to inform you that our Society is compliant with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. We have registered five (5) Data Processing Systems at the National Privacy Commission such as: Membership, PBOG, CREED, Billing and Employees System.
In our Organization, the Board of Trustees is the Personal Information Controller (PIC) who controls the collection, holding, processing or use of personal information, including a person or organization who instructs another person or organization to collect, hold, process, use, transfer or disclose personal information on his or her behalf. Our Data Protection Officer (DPO) is Ms. Sandra Joy Eramis, she monitors and ensures our Society’s compliance with the DPA; its IRR; issuances by the NPC and other applicable laws and policies. Our Regional Directors and their designated representatives are the Compliance Officers for Privacy (COP), they shall perform some of the functions of a DPO. Together, with our legal counsel, your BOT has crafted the Data Policy Manual to inform you of our data protection and security measures, and may serve as your guide in exercising your rights under the DPA.
